The story of this video is easy. This video is a "readymade".
I live near a old lady that hates the pigeons in a very obsessive way, she spends all day trying to hit them with a big stick from her balcony.
This summer she went on holiday, but just before leaving the apartment and closing all the windows she fixed on her balcony a incredible amount of plastic bags and stripes to scare off the pigeons.
The result is a kind of involuntary monster, moved by the blowing of the wind. A urban ritual.

I filmed it and edited it in time with the music (Overmars Band) trying to give the maximum relation between the voices and the movement gave by the wind.
This video is dedicated to her, my neighbor, and the title is "Hate for the pigeons".

La storia di questo video è semplice. Questo video è un "ready-made".
Vivo vicino ad una vecchia signora che odia i piccioni in modo molto ossessivo, passa tutta la giornata cercando di colpirli con un grosso bastone sporgendosi dal suo balcone. Questa estate è andata in vacanza, ma prima di lasciare l'appartamento e chiudere tutte le finestre ha fissato sul suo balcone una quantità incredibile di lunghe strisce di plastica per spaventare i piccioni.
Il risultato della sua operazione è una sorta di mostro mosso dal soffio del vento. Un mostro di plastica, simbolo del suo odio per i piccioni.
Ho filmato questa "creatura" nel contesto urbano dove si trova per poi mettere il video a tempo con la musica piu' "urlata" che ho trovato (gli Overmars). L'accorgimento piu' importante è stato quello di trovare la perfetta relazione tra le voci dei cantanti e il movimento dato dal vento.
Questo video è dedicato a lei, la mia vicina, e il titolo è "L'Odio per i piccioni".
